BjörkHijoort&TiiaKasurinen:MillennialMuses

Millennial Muses is a collaborative art piece created by Björk Hijoort and Tiia Kasurinen. The concept takes over the Resident Advisor Front Yard and combines painted art with video projections. Millenial Muses plays with the idea of ancient Greek Mythology crossing paths with modern time – inspired and intertwined with the mythology of 9 muses as well as the Internet and Y2K aesthetics. Art is created in cooperation with CULT energy drink.

Björk Hijoort (she/they) is a Swedish Greek visual artist with painting as her main medium of artistic expression. She specializes in large-scale artworks and creative concepts. Her visual language is playful, colorful, and characteristic, depicting human-like animal figures in various entanglements with their imaginary environments. Reoccurring themes and symbols often explore life’s big questions, daydreams, individuality, and desires.
