Maria Wesander has been a life-long lover of various musical styles and she has been digging for records for a decade. Recently she has played in outdoor parties and various bars and restaurants of her home town Helsinki, and she played also in Flow Festival 2019. In her DJ sets she navigates through different styles and moods to keep the musical experience inspiring and surprising. Quirky synths, funky and addictive basslines, and punchy kick drums are the key elements. The music is based on disco’s heritage, and there’s always some Italo-disco and other synth sounds from the 1980s to date, often leaning towards the slightly obscure.
