Mike Q is a key figure in the long-running American ballroom/vogue-house culture. The DJ from New Jersey runs his Qween Beat label and produces ballroom/vogue tracks, edits and remixes. When he found his way to a ballroom club for the first time more than fifteen years ago, Mike Q was immediately fascinated by the pumping rhythms and the energy of the music and the dancers. As a DJ Mike Q is a rising star, and he has played regularly in the US east coast vogue club nights, but also in London, Paris, Tokyo and other capitals of the world. He has also compiled the soundtrack for Kiki, a documentary about the ballroom culture of NYC, and recently been the DJ in a ballroom series on HBO Max, Legendary.
