AAH!

AAH! is a club specialized in bass heavy music styles from the southern parts of Africa. Founded by DJ Goodblood and DJ Hermanni who also run the long-time Helsinki favourite Afro Sunday, AAH! promotes Amapiano, Afro House, Gqom, Kuduro, Bacardi and many other styles. Members of the AAH! team are also born-to-be-a-hypeman MC Enoch Gyasi and award winning percussion artist Aakusti. AAH! guest DJ’s in Flow Festival are young gun DJ HAMM (FI/GB) and DJ-percussionist DJ Hansin (GAM/FI).

DJ Goodblood is known to many from the popular Helsinki club nights Afro Sunday, AAH!, Uptown Friday and Fiesta Latina. Besides Finland, he has played in several countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, Norway and the UK. Loving and playing Amapiano as a DJ already for many years, he is an expert on different styles inside the genre, from Soulful & ”Private School Piano” to Sqija and Bacardi-influenced Amapiano.

DJ Hermanni has played well over 20 years and his musical journey has been taking him always towards the warmest parts of the world. He has been behind multiple award-winning clubs in Helsinki and played all over the world from St. Petersburg, Brighton and Berlin to the island of Zanzibar. With his DJ experience, deep collection of killer tunes and smooth-as-silk selections, he will drive the dancefloor always to new heights.

Aakusti is an award-winning percussion artist and teacher who has dedicated himself to West African music culture soon for 30 years. An extended apprenticeship and collaboration with a griot have brought him an exceptional understanding of West African rhythm. When playing at clubs with DJs, Aakusti situates the centuries-old dialogical wisdom of African rhythm into a new context of urban life.

DJ Hansin started his musical career as a drummer in his home country Gambia, and he has been a DJ for more than ten years. His style as a performer is unique, as he combines his several musical skills and blends tracks with live percussion playing when DJ’ing. Hansin is now based in Jyväskylä, Finland, and his goal is always to bring positive vibes and good energy, no matter where he plays.

MC Enoch Gyasi made an entrance to the Finnish Afro scene only a year ago, but in a short time, he has become the symbol of hype and energy at parties all over Finland. The born-to-be-a-hypeman has made waves hyping the crowd for true African superstars like Ruger and Flavour, joined the team of AAH! club night performers and been the MC in Heatwave club nights at Ääniwalli this summer.

For almost ten years, DJ HAMM has been bringing his unique musical selections to clubs, festivals and events around Finland and internationally. The half-British, half-Finnish selecta infuses his sets with tastes from around the world, especially from the UK. His blending of rap, R&B, Afrobeats and Amapiano sounds together delivers unforgettable sets that keep the audience guessing and wanting more.
