Markus Krunegård is one of the most loved artists of recent years in his home country of Sweden. The Swedish-Finnish singer and songwriter started his career in 2001 with the indie band Laakso and released his first solo album Markusevangeliet in 2008. 15 years later, Krunegård will release his first solo album in Finnish, Nokia & Ericsson, in September.

With his personal new album, Krunegård deals with self-acceptance, the riches and shame of his own identity, love, and the similarities and differences between two cultures, Finland and Sweden, and living somewhere in between.

The talented songwriter elegantly uses, among other things, the means of naivety and hit pop as spices in his songs. The name of the album, Nokia & Ericsson, is a good example of this; even the funny-sounding name hides the wisdom of the two cultures and how everything in life is only temporary.

At Flow Festival Krunegård, who has composed songs for Charli XCX, Santigold, Icona Pop, Carly Rae Jepsen and Veronica Maggio, among others, will perform the material of his upcoming Finnish-language album for the first time with a band.
