Louie Vega added to Resident Advisor Front Yard’s lineup – Kerri Chandler cancels his appearance at Flow
House music legend Louie Vega arrives to perform at Flow’s Resident Advisor Front Yard on Saturday, August 12. Announced previously for the same day, Kerri Chandler has had to cancel his performance at Flow due to scheduling conflicts. Additionally, minor changes have been made to Backyard’s schedule.
Louie Vega has been among the leading American house DJs and producers for over 30 years. Being half of the producer duos Masters At Work and Nuyorican Soul, Vega has been making several classics. Still, his producer discography is extensive and grows regularly with high-quality releases. His latest album, Expansions In The NYC, was released last summer and got an excellent response from house music lovers. During the decades, Louie Vega has been able to evolve with style and stay current constantly. The Grammy-winning DJ’s influences come from the long heritage of house but also jazz, hip-hop, gospel, soul, afrobeat, and salsa. He became familiar with the roots of Latin American music already in his family, as the singer Hector Lavoe, also named the salsa king of New York, was Vega’s uncle.
