The Other Sound x Sun EffectsHelsingin Sanomat Black Box (Musta laatikko) offers quality journalism as a unique live presentation. In the highly popular shows, true stories are told by HS’s editors and photographers. Black Box shows have been organised since 2016, and its 20th production will be seen in autumn 2023. Over the years, more than 50 000 people have attended over 100 Black Box shows all over Finland. On Flow Saturday, Black Box will bring along the following performances:
Coffin homes of Hong Kong
Mari Manninen, HS’s Asia correspondent, went on a news trip to Hong Kong. There, apartments cost more than anywhere else in the world. In the city, Manninen met a man whose home had less than two square meters of space.

Game Changers
Panu Jansson, HS’s children’s news reporter, is familiar with games and technology, among other things. Watching their son Eino play, Jansson realised that children are already living in the future that adults are just trying to understand.

Laura Kangasluoma is the producer of HS’s lifestyle editorial. A year ago, the producer was listening to the American podcast Reply All, whose host said they had called people using their phone’s contact list. Kangasluoma was left worrying how their own acquaintances were doing.
